Hello from TamuAsia and we hope you had a Happy New Year!

So what’s new with our e-magazine?

To celebrate entering our second year of publishing our e-magazine, we’ve got a refreshing new cover!

The tourism industry is opening back up again and we would like to do our part in highlighting community-based tourism!

With that being said, our theme this month focuses on Gastronomy. You will find a list of restaurants recommended to you and a list of specialty dishes from a few states. Not forgetting, a wrap up of our end-of-year virtual event called M48 (it’s on our FB page if you’d like to watch!) and our Founder & Managing Director’s experience  on her volunteering work with a fellow tourism player & unfortunately a flood victim at Hulu Langat.

We hope you’ll continue supporting us!

This month we cover this particular industry that’s on the rise even more so during this recovery phase, and that is Community-Based Tourism! Where one community bands together to help each other out in selling handmade products and giving the best Malaysian experience, we thought this will be more relevant than ever since this industry is up and running for all.

We also highlighted our adventures in the last month such as a trip to Masjid Putra, interviews with an optometrist and an owner of an OKU-powered cafe, and even a special interview with a monthly photographer of the month (we’ve featured her a few times on this page before, take a guess!)

It’s all about adventurous trips since lockdowns lifted for the country last year and more people are keen to immerse themselves with nature, whether it be a good old hike or maybe even scuba diving!

This month’s theme we take a peek into the adventure scene with a special story from En. Khairi Alwi or more well-known as Alejandro Aventura among his community, a photographer interview who plays with the idea of film and feminity, and a special interview with B&J Diving Centre from Pulau Tioman!

We hope you find these stories informational and don’t forget to show your support in supporting Malaysia’s adventure tourism scene!
