Asia Pacific Sustainability Conference 2025: Advancing Biodynamic Agriculture and Climate Leadership

The Asia Pacific Sustainability Conference (APSC 2025), organised by the Sustainable Business Network Malaysia (SustNET), successfully concluded with over 150 leaders and experts gathering for a focused day of keynote presentations, strategic networking, and formal partnership signings. The event took place at M World Hotel Kuala Lumpur and was successfully led by Organising Chairman Ts. Dr. Nor Saidatul and her dedicated team.

With the theme “Forging Resilient Food Systems in a Decarbonized Future,” the conference highlighted the critical role of biodynamic agriculture in addressing climate change and food security. Keynote speakers included Y.A.M. Tunku Dato’ Seri Utama Naquiyuddin Tuanku Ja’afar, who emphasized ethical land stewardship, and Helmy Abouleish, CEO of SEKEM Egypt, who shared valuable insights from successful regenerative agriculture practices.

Several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed to enhance collaboration in sustainable farming, education, and carbon market development. The Asia Pacific CEO Sustainability Awards honoured more than 100 trailblazers for their decade-long impact in environmental and social leadership.

“Biodynamics is more than a farming method; it’s a philosophy to heal our planet from the ground up,” said Helmy Abouleish.

The event also announced the formation of a regional task force to drive biodynamic agriculture forward across Asia Pacific. The presence of TVET consultants and agri-tech startups further underlined the importance of innovation and education in shaping sustainable agricultural futures.

APSC 2025 marks a significant step toward positioning Malaysia as a leader in regenerative agriculture and climate-smart development. With ongoing initiatives and follow-up actions planned, the conference sets a strong foundation for a resilient and sustainable Asia Pacific.
